Privacy Policy
This is a minimal, production-ready template describing how ClueArk (“the App”) handles personal
information. Please update it to match your actual product (e.g. location, third-party
sign-in, subscriptions, push notifications).
1. Information we collect
We collect and use information only as needed for the purposes below. This may include:
-
Account information: email address and password (passwords are stored using one-way hashing,
not in plain text).
-
Device and network information: information needed for security and stability, such as IP
address, device model/OS version, app version, and crash logs (if you enable crash reporting).
-
Push-related information: device push tokens (e.g. APNs/FCM) to deliver monitor alerts. You
can disable notifications in system settings.
-
Information you provide in the App: monitor topics, bound sources, thresholds, language/time
zone preferences, and similar settings.
-
Subscription and entitlements (if applicable): subscription status (active, expiry, tier) to
provide paid features. Payments on iOS are processed by the Apple App Store; we do not receive your payment
card details.
2. How we use information
- Account registration, sign-in, and security verification.
- Core features such as monitoring, notifications, timelines, and briefs/intelligence summaries.
- Security (abuse prevention, fraud/risk controls), troubleshooting, and performance improvement.
- Push notifications for monitor matches when you have granted permission (you can turn this off anytime).
3. Sharing, transfer, and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only when:
-
Service providers need it to operate the App (e.g. push, email, cloud hosting, CDN). We
require them to process data within authorized scope and apply appropriate safeguards.
-
Required by law, or necessary to protect your, our, or the public’s legitimate rights and
interests.
4. Cross-border transfers and server locations
The App may use servers and providers in different countries or regions. Where personal information is
transferred across borders, we do so only as necessary for the service and apply reasonable safeguards. Contact
us via the support email if you have questions about storage or processing.
5. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may:
- Access and correct your account information and settings.
- Delete your account via in-app account deletion (recommended for App Store compliance).
- Withdraw consent, e.g. disable notifications or opt out of marketing (if any).
6. Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described. After account deletion, we delete or
anonymize data as required by law and product logic (some security/audit records may be retained where
permitted).
7. Children
If you are below the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, use the App only with a parent or guardian’s
consent and supervision.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If changes materially affect your rights, we will notify you via
in-app notice or other reasonable means. The updated policy takes effect when published.
